THE ORIGINS OF CHRIS APPART RESIDENCE

Since the mid-19th century, this building has provided shelter to travellers crossing the mountain pass on foot. Chris Appart is the oldest standing structure at the Karerpass – a living piece of Dolomite heritage.

"The enthusiasm for history and the love of antique photographs and objects can be felt throughout the entire house." – A guest, 2019

"First class every comfort. Liberal arrangements. Patronized by English and Americans. A delightful resort at the foot of the Rosengarten and the Latemar Stock, reached by road through the magnificent gorge of Eggenthal, a convenient centre for exploring the Dolomite region of Botzen. Remarkably pure air.

Escursions in all directions. This is on of the most attractive spots in the Austrian Alps, the scenery is not only very grand but almost unique in the character. "
